What you're looking for

Someone who has a depth of experience across all collaborative contract models, and can tell me straight where the risks are, for the designer, the contractor or the client. Have we priced enough? Is the programme realistic? Are there pitfalls we're not thinking about that I might have missed? How can we protect ourselves from future disputes?

What I do

A decade on the contractor's team, across design-build, progressive design-build, alliance and IPD, iTOC and P3 contracts. I have owned multi-million-dollar budgets, delivered tender pricing with a track record of wins, run construction programming, and written and managed dozens of consultant and supplier subcontracts, variations and disputes.

What you're looking for

Read through every document and tell me what approvals I need and what work I need to do to get them. Are there decisions we can make early that will save us time and effort later on and stop rework? Then I need someone to make the calls, write the reports, fill out the forms, and let me know before it goes off course, not after.

What I do

A track record of clearing the full approvals pathway on multiple tier-one capital programs across federal, state, local and Traditional Owner jurisdictions. By owning the approvals strategy and the regulator relationships in-house, I kept those projects clear of serious approval delays.

What you're looking for

I need someone to help simplify and automate the unproductive reporting and sustainability disclosures demand. Someone who can work across our whole organisation or on specific projects. I want sustainability disclosure to stop being a headache, and cost my team less so we can focus on actually making an impact.

What I do

I have set project and enterprise-level carbon strategy, board-level transition plans, and design and implementation of systems to track and report mandatory sustainability disclosure. My Pathway system for ESG tracking can be used across any framework: AASB, ISSB, TCFD, SB 253, without costing your organisation any additional resources. I treat carbon as a financial variable, embedded into accounting practices, so compliance reporting carries the lowest possible overhead.

What you're looking for

I'd rather not have to teach you about the water sector, the types of infrastructure we build, or the physical, chemical and environmental processes. It's good to know you already understand how water authorities operate, who their stakeholders are, and who to call when things aren't going to plan.

What I do

Water is the sector I built my career in. I have worked on capital projects ranging from dams and pumped hydro to waste and recycled water treatment and sewage transfer. I am deeply embedded in the Australian Water Association, where I co-founded the Beyond Zero Specialist Network, a voluntary group of senior leaders drawn from every part of the sector: government, regulators, academia and private industry.

What you're looking for

I want you to tell me honestly whether using AI right now has a benefit or a return on investment, and to be willing to say no. Will it make us more productive? Will it replace critical thinking? Can we deliver something quickly? If the answers aren't right, you're the sort of person who agrees we're better off doing it without AI.

What I do

I have a knack for cheap, effective system improvements built with AI. The tools stay confined to the problem you actually have, carry no long-term dependency and no ongoing licence, and are built to improve judgement rather than make the decisions a person should be making. Not SaaS: specific tools with a measurable return. The path is short: engage, scope, cost, workshop, and build only if it has legs. It stays inside what I know, which is approvals, sustainability, geology and carbon finance. "Built to inform, not to automate."
